If someone offered a seat on a rocket ship to space, would you take it? Going to space can seem like the stuff of dreams, but when put face to face with reality, I couldn't promise that I wouldn't crumble. I mean, I get a little nervous on regular flights. What makes me think I wouldn't lose it if I was rocketed out of the Earth's atmosphere at incomprehensible speeds? But it is incredibly exciting to think about looking down at our lonely little green planet from way up in outer space. I have a feeling it would bring things into focus pretty quickly.

But having to eat dehydrated foods the whole time? And having to shampoo your hair with little soap bubbles? Might get a little old. So all that said, I'm glad there are folks out there who want to do it and folks that write books and make movies about it so I can imagine it.
